Hi! I’m Reina and I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I’m also a Bay Area native, an unapologetic cat lover, and self proclaimed expert of silly reality tv shows (we all have our vices don’t we?)
The biggest thing I want you to learn in therapy is that YOUR FEELINGS ARE VALID. One of my strengths as a therapist is teaching my clients that they have every right to feel how they feel. The good, the bad, and the ugly. If this is hard for you that’s OK, we’ll tackle that together.
I work with badass women and teens who feel anxious and stressed out when it comes to their relationships and often feel like they’re not good enough (spoiler alert, they are. And so are you!)
For women this might look like someone who:
Is afraid of “messing up” in their relationship because they’ve been burned in the past
Is tired of the dating merry go round
Compares themselves to their peers and their successes but feel like they don’t stack up
Has their shit together but somehow feels “behind” in life
Constantly worries about how others feel but puts their own feelings to the side
Puts a lot of blame on themselves
Feels lonely, even with a very full life
For my younger teen gals this might mean they are:
Having increased conflict with friends
Struggling to make connections at school
Distancing themselves from friends and family
Nervous to go to school
Easily overwhelmed
Struggle to balance academic and social life
My goal is to guide successful, independent, take charge kinda ladies from intense self doubt and anxiety to confidence and satisfaction in their relationships.
How I can help
First and foremost, I want to hear your story. I believe that every person has the right to be seen and heard and I believe that one of the keys to healing is understanding the root of the pain. I draw from various areas of psychotherapy like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, but I believe my greatest tool is myself. I’m someone that is very curious about what makes people tick and I want to explore that with you.
I’m authentic, I’m human, and I’m not afraid to laugh or cry with you. I’m right by your side, every step of the way.
If you’re ready to shed your unhealthy behavior patterns and gain deeper insight into yourself contact me today. I can’t wait to talk to you!
